Iowa Family Week is happening July 27 to August 3! 🙌

This is a yearly dedicated time for students, staff, and families to rest, recharge, and enjoy time together. There will be no practices, meetings, or school-related activities during this week.

The 2025-26 school year is almost here, and it’s time to complete registration! 📚

➡️ Online registration is now open at https://www.rolandstory.school/o/rscsd/page/registration-enrollment. Returning students, including preschool and kindergarten, should follow steps 1-4.

➡️ Walk-in registration will take place Tuesday, August 12, from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the High School Commons. Staff will be available to assist.

Middle and high school students can view schedules on JMC. Elementary class lists will be available on the elementary webpage.

Need help? The district office is open all summer. Building offices reopen Thursday, August 1.

🎒✏️Need school supplies for the 25-26 school year? Fill out the Blast Back to School form! The Blast Back to School event helps K-12 students in Story County start the school year strong by providing free backpacks and school supplies. To receive them, you need to register ahead of time.

📚 Thanks to the incredible support of local businesses, donors, and volunteers, BBTS collects and distributes supplies to families who need them most. It's all free - just make sure you sign up!

JMC, our student record management software, will be undergoing unexpected server maintenance on Friday, July 18. Access to the system may be limited throughout most of the day as updates are completed. Thank you for your patience as JMC works to restore full service. 🛠️

Our next School Board meeting is Monday, July 14, at 5:00pm. This regular meeting will take place at Roland-Story High School. 🏫

On Friday, May 16th Matt Patton received the Iowa Bandmasters Association Outstanding Administrator Superintendent Award! This statewide award recognizes administration particularly supportive of the music and fine arts programs in their district. Thank you Mr. Patton for all of your support for the fine arts at Roland-Story!
